April Board Meeting

 Notice is herby given that the above-named Board will hold a Workshop and Board meeting on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 beginning at 1:30 p.m., in the Clearwater UWCD Board Room located at 700 Kennedy Court, Belton, Texas.  The following items of business will be discussed1.


  1. Receive information concerning legislative issues and update from Staff and General Council.
  2. Receive information from Judge Blackburn related to strategic planning related to Surface & Groundwater Needs and Strategies.
  3. Receive information about registration and accommodations for the 2019 Groundwater Summit.
  4. Receive information concerning active N1 permit application by Adam Starr for proposed rural subdivision.
  5. Receive information concerning upcoming proposed rural subdivision declaring groundwater wells for tracts larger than 10 acres.

Board Meeting:

  1. Invocation and Pledge of Allegiance.
  2. Public comment2.
  3. Approve minutes of the March 14, 2019 Board meeting.
  4. Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action if necessary to accept the monthly financial report for March 2019 (FY19) as presented.
  5. Discuss, consider and take appropriate action if necessary to accept the monthly investment fund account report for March 2019 (FY19) and quarterly update TexPool 449 and TexPool Prime 590 accounts as presented.
  6. Discuss, consider and take appropriate action if necessary to accept the quarterly deferred compensation employee retirement program account report as presented.
  7. Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action to participate as a location for College Internship.
  8. Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action to approve participation with Bell County Commissioners Court to fund stakeholder event at SAWS ASR facility tour on April 23rd, 2019.
  9. Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action if necessary to approve the FY19 line item budget amendments as requested.
  10. General Manager’s report concerning office management and staffing related to District Management Plan3.
  11. Receive monthly staff report and possible consideration and Board action on the following3:
    1. Drought Status reports
    2. Education Outreach update
    3. Monitoring Well reports
    4. Rainfall report
    5. Well Registration update
    6. Aquifer Status and Non-exempt Monthly Well Production reports
  12. Director comments and reports3.
  13. Discuss agenda items for next meeting.
  14. Set time and place for next meeting.
  15. Adjourn.

 3No formal action will be taken by the Board on these agenda items.  These items are on the agenda to provide the District’s staff, Public Task Force Committees, and Directors with an opportunity to bring to the public’s and each other’s attention important activities and issues pertinent to the management of groundwater within the District, including, but not limited to, current events in the District involving groundwater, wells, or District permittees, state or regional developments related to water management, and activities of the staff, Public Advisory Committee, and Directors.  Substantive deliberation and formal action on any of these issues will be conducted pursuant to a specific item on a future agenda.
