November Board Meeting

NOTICE OF THE MEETING OF THE CLEARWATER UNDERGROUND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT

 Notice is hereby given that the above named Board will hold a Workshop and Board meeting on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 beginning at 1:30 p.m., in the Clearwater UWCD Board Room located at 700 Kennedy Court, Belton, Texas.  The following items of business will be discussed1.

Workshop:

  1. Receive update and review final agenda of the November 15, 17th Annual Bell County Water Symposium.
  2. Receive update related to the November 16 TAGD Leadership Training in Salado.
  3. Receive update related to the November 16 TAGD Regional Public Engagement & Legislative Dinner.
  4. Receive update related to the TWDB Study of the Trinity Aquifer and Potential Brackish Production Areas.
  5. Discuss the status and timeline for final determination of Desired Future Conditions and Explanatory Report to occur for the DFC determination by GMA8, per TWC section 36.108.
  6. Discuss potential date in December for the Bell County Adaptive Management Coalition meeting.

Board Meeting:

  1. Invocation and Pledge of Allegiance.
  2. Public comment2.
  3. Approve minutes of the October 11, 2017 Board meeting.
  4. Discuss, consider and take appropriate action if necessary to accept the monthly financial report for October 2017 (FY18) as presented.
  5. Discuss, consider and take appropriate action if necessary to accept the monthly Investment Fund account report as presented.
  6. Discuss, consider and take appropriate action if necessary to approve the FY17 line item budget amendments as requested.
  7. Discuss, consider and take appropriate action if necessary to close out FY17 Budget year as presented.
  8. Discuss, consider and take appropriate action if necessary to approve the FY18 line item budget amendments as requested.
  9. Discuss, consider and take appropriate action if necessary on the request to extend the current Drilling permit for the City of Troy to the Hosston layer of the Trinity Aquifer.
  10. General Manager’s Report concerning office management and staffing related to District Management Plan3.
  11. Receive monthly report and possible consideration and Board action on the following:3
    1. Drought Status Reports
    2. Education Outreach Update
    3. Monitoring Wells
    4. Rainfall Reports
    5. Well Registration Update
    6. Aquifer Status Report & Non-Exempt Monthly Well Production Reports
  12. Public Advisory Committee Comments3.
  13. Director comments and reports3.
  14. Discuss agenda items for next meeting.
  15. Set time and place for next meeting
  16. Adjourn.

 3No formal action will be taken by the Board on these agenda items.  These items are on the agenda to provide the District’s staff, Public Advisory Committee, and Directors with an opportunity to bring to the public’s and each other’s attention important activities and issues pertinent to the management of groundwater within the District, including, but not limited to, current events in the District involving groundwater, wells, or District permittees, state or regional developments related to water management, and activities of the staff, Public Advisory Committee, and Directors.  Substantive deliberation and formal action on any of these issues will be conducted pursuant to a specific item on a future agenda.
